Blog, I’ve missed thee!

Thursday, September 24th, 2009 | 60 Comments

Finally I’m back online! I’ve literally spent the past week getting my computer back to some status of normality. I think I’m good now. Got most all programs installed, files copied back over, and coped with anything I lost. Soon I’ll forget it ever happened~~

I’ve been busy with work and housework too. Been getting ready for my friend’s visit next week! Planning out our days~ She wants to go to some really nice places so I’m excited! I’m also excited to get some more vacation-like memory photos taken only now I won’t look all chubby in every single one, hahahahaaaa

I’ll probably whip together a new layout after things settle down. I’m quite sick of this one.

Not much has been going on really. I of course picked up some of Anna Sui’s Target line. Also received an order from Yesstyle. So here are some snaps. Sorry there’s so many. I feel narcissistic! But if things would have been normal these photos would have gradually been posted instead of the following huge photo dump.

The top is nice for work and the silk jumper is just a total JOY to wear!
There’s more of the collection I want but it’s either sold out or Target hasn’t released them in-store yet…

Yesstyle order arrived!

My two favorites!
The long denim overalls is from Puffy.
The 1*heart*88 tees is from Cherry Story. I cannot WAIT for winter to come so that I cane wear this out!

Got this cute polka dot smock dress from Puffy and the terry cloth romper from Romy. Good for end of summer I think!

Did a little relaxing this week too. So much going on means SO much extra stress! Used one of my Bihada Ichizoku face masks. So refreshing~~ and never any fear of breaking out after using these. The other item is a “magic” hair removal scrub that I got from yesstyle as well. I have pretty thick hair on my arms (thank you Italian jeans! ha!) but it’s more golden brown and I never wanted to shave them or Nair them because I knew it would grow in dark and stubbly like shaving your legs. Also tried to get electrolysis but apparently my hair isn’t dark enough. This sponge basically just rubs your hair off! It says “painless” which in a way it is. It basically feels like getting a strawberry on your arm. (Growing up, grabbing someone’s arm and rubbing it fast and hard to cause them skin irritation was called giving someone “a strawberry” because the skin turns red.)

Anyway! I’m pretty happy with it! Haha. Majority of my hair was removed. It’s started to grow just a bit and the hair’s consistency looks normal. No changes in texture or color, yay!

While on the topic of bath and skin and such, I picked up one of the Aveeno Bath Soaks. My skin got really dry while away for the off site meeting of my office. So I bought their Skin Relief Bath Treatment. It’s very much like an oatmeal bath. I enjoy them and they’re not too overpriced. I think it was about a box of 3 for $3.00. I’d probably buy these again. My skin felt soft and moisturized after the bath. These will be great come winter! My skin gets so itchy dry in winter

It’s really powdery and you have to break up the clumps to mix it in fully, but that’s easy.

I guess that’s about it. I hope I can update once more before my friend arrives, but we’ll see. Till then I leave you with this gif of my new mug!! I got it at my office offsite meeting. It’s a sort of cheap gag-gift you know. It’s the Cheshire cat! He disappears when there’s hot liquid in him! In this case it’s Swiss Miss’s delicious Fat Free Hot Chocolate (only 50 calories & tastes the same!) As I drank it he slowly appeared with each sip!

Ooh the oatmeal bath treatment looks good. But does it clog up the drain? That’s what I’m always paranoid about when I put herbs in my bath.

Nah, I haven’t had any sign of that since it dissolves pretty well.

Why thank yooou!! Though you’re totally way skinnier in your photos IMO, haahhaaa.
I don’t know why overalls have yet to explode here. So much random J-fashion is popping up but never stuff I WANT RIGHT NOW!

Oh cute clothes! Haha.

Omg I have the same thing with my arms. D: I’ll have to look into something like this, I wonder is it like that infomercial thing where you rub your hair off with like sand paper. I can’t remember the name… But if it works then that is soo awesome

I love your new mug soo much

Your clothes are so cute!

I recently received my first order from YesStyle, and even though I’m not very pleased with it, I’m not discouraged from ordering again because everyone else seems to have a good experience with them.

What went wrong with mine was
1) They cancelled one of my tops and then raised the price to $45.
2) They cancelled my purse right before shipping due to a ‘minor defect.’ They didn’t even tell me what it was…I would have still taken it if it wasn’t THAT bad.
3) I have yet to see any refund to my PayPal or my credit card for numbers 1 and 2.
4) One of the shirts is totally uneven and looks horrible on because of it. D:

I think I just happened to get the bad order, haha.
I’m most concerned about the refund thing. I want my moneys back!

Oh, that’s a cool mug!

You’re always buying stuff from YesStyle, kind of makes me jealous, haha. I wish I could afford buyin stuff there. T_T I’m feeling shop-deprived at the moment and it doesn’t help that I don’t really have much spending money and that I’m so busy with school to even shop. =(

btw the silk jumper is adorable
though it is a bit expensive but it is silk i guess!

jenny said
September 25, 2009 @ 8:11 am

*agreed*
It was pricey but it IS 100% silk and, it’s hard to tell in my shitty photos but, it’s actually very lovely with extra pleating and folds and draping! Plus multiple ribbons that can sort of alter the fit and look. It has a more street-style fit on me than it does in the picture with the model. I feel it kinda looks boring on her. LOL. Sadly I’ve yet to master photographing black clothing well, hahahaa

I tagged any diet related posts with “diet” so if you want to just peruse those entries feel free. I did do a bit of a round-up when I reached my goal. That’s here:
http://sushi-cat.net/2009/08/03/still-unpacked/#more-1270

It took a couple of months but all I did was change up my food choices a bit while counting calories and being more active

Hello Jenny!
I found your found accidently while looking up for information about CHER bags!
and I have to say that I’m now addicted to your blog!
You’re so Japanese, much more than the real Japanese like me =(

Oh and about the hair removal sponge,
I also use it! It’s great but at first I didnt know how to use it properly
so like you said, it felt like getting ’strawberries’ on your skin.
But my mom applied some body cream on my legs & arms and used the sponge
in a circular motion and OMG! I have to say that it didnt irritated my skin & it
is really PAINLESS! no more redness after the ’shave’ ! the hairs also come off
easily i hope you would give it a try!

- Miko
I’ll be here & visit you often!

The smock dress is so cute! I have this obsession with polka dots. they just make everything a bit more fun, don’t they?
The only thing i like in the Anna Sui x Target collection is Blair’s dress. The other clothes are nice, but just not my style :3

i love love love your mug!

love the clothes! soooo jealous~ I’ve never wore overalls before, it looks cute on you! Love that Aveeno bath treatment, I had a bad allergic reaction to fresh grass once and small bumps (50mm width) started to appear all over my arms! Eekk! After soaking in the treatment, provide me with great relief and the bumps faded away in a few hours. I adore the clothing that Yesstyle offers!
Lovely mug btw !

Twas free. You should have a recovery disc that came with the computer, you’ll use that. Just backup whatever you don’t want lost! The disc should wipe your machine with a fresh reinstall of Windows.
