Jcrew, you’ve gotten younger

Sunday, September 27th, 2009 | 48 Comments

Mike surprised me with matching owl tees!

I love owls so much! It’s nice sometimes to not have such cartoon-y looking owls too. I think we might wear these when we go to pick up my friend from the airport tomorrow, hahahaaa.

It’s been raining nonstop and so gray out! Depressing.
However late this afternoon the clouds started to leave and the sun came out! The wind was blowing and the air was cool and crisp.

AUTUMN’S HERE, YAY!

I received the latest Jcrew catalog this past week too. Like the previous one it was filled with refreshing coordinates! It’s like Jcrew grew wise to which generation it needs to be targeting now. I really loved the layers. They’re really great, younger, office looks. I had scanned in some of my favorite ones from the earlier Autumn Preview catalog along with the Autumn Free People catalog released a few weeks ago too. I thought I had shared these already but I guess not!

Jcrew

MY FAVORITE OUTFIT! I’M OBSESSED WITH THIS LOOK!

Free People

In their last catalog they used animals from the humane society to raise awareness of these gorgeous kitties & puppies who need homes. So sweet I could cry.

I’ll be offline till probably next weekend. My best friend is visiting so I’ll be super busy!! I’m sooooo excited

Thank you Hachi for poupee-sitting! I haven’t gotten a full month dressup since it changed to 200r bonus Vacations and illness always screwed me over and I’d miss days. Anywho~~

I’ve been trying to catch up with my closet items. Here’s some recently posted items

AGREED! I think I have 2 things from Jcrew and they’re both belts I bought on super sale at their outlet store! :X I just can’t justify paying so much for something I KNOW I’d only wear to work. ;___;

1st! You win

I used to think J.Crew was for boring old people… ha ha ha… Recently I have noticed their window manikins are always dressed so nicely!! I find myself looking at them like oohhh ahhh i want that xD

Is that Anna Sui headband kind of like a sweat band for in the shower and such?? If it is.. AHHH where did you get it?? I want T.T !!

jenny said
September 28, 2009 @ 8:28 am

Agreed! I never actually really ever “pined” for Jcrew stuff before!

Yea the headband is like terry cloth and holds back hair so you can wash your face and so on~ I got it at yesstyle.com actually.

I love all the layers - really pretty. And I love the frilly look to the shirts. That’s definitely something I’m going to be investing in this winter

Have a fab time with your friend!

Same here! I bought 1 ruffle shirt already. Need to find a good match to theirs at a HUGE fraction of the price (hahahaaa. I think Jcrew’s is like $88usd :( )

Haha oh my goodness, Boston (and probably DC, too) is like JCrew central!
Everybody is a professional! But I really love these looks

Lately I’ve really been wanting that trench/parka that I keep seeing in J mags *sigh*

Oh! I’ve been meaning to ask you - when you talk to your friend is it in English, Japanese or a mix of both?

jenny said
September 28, 2009 @ 12:13 pm

It’s so true bout this area. That and that everyone in DC “is always ready for a funeral” because black is the predominate color thanks to business wear!

We speak like 95% English b/c my Japanese is elementary & fail and she is a genius who majored in English!

Oh those outfits are cute. Sigh it isn’t autumn here yet. we still have like 4 weeks before it even starts to not be 80-100 every day O.O;; I can’t wait though.

Oh have fun with your buddy! Where did you meet her? Like some pen-pal website? I wish I could find one. It seems soo fun to send letters and stuff xD

so pretty! i feel that the stuff from a lot of stores that sells office suitable clothes are all really stiff & too grown-up-y, too bad theres no jcrew here, theres nothing here D:
i really like that white frilly jacket from free people too!
& so many pretty anna sui stuff! *O*

gahhh, I love these magazines you keep scanning!!♥♥♥

I really hope I’m not bothering you by asking (you might have already said) but where do you buy your J-mags? I live kinda close (Richmond area) and I was wondering if there are certain stores that carry them or if you order them or what.

I buy my magazines at a store in Rockville MD called Taiga Books. They’re located on the Rockville Pike. They get certain magazine titles in already but you can get a pre-paid subscription to any magazine you want.

That owl shirt is pretty cool. Do they have colonial hair (the white wigs with curls)? I think the biggest owl is a bit sinister looking haha. Maybe with Halloween/autumn approaching there might be more non-cartoony owl products coming into the market. Have fun with your friend!

JCrew! Even though they’re reaching out to a younger age it seems like they still keep to their classy look (or I’ve always thought of them as classy). I like the new style!

Have fun with your friend!

That so cute what Mike gave. Most couples don’t like the matching stuff thing. I’m a fan of the layers look but I don’t have the time/money at the moment to start shopping.

How’s the Anna Sui eyeliner? I’ve been pretty interested in it but I never see it at the mall so I’ve never tried it. Is it worth the purchase? :o

jenny said
October 6, 2009 @ 9:21 am

I got it at yesstyle.com since finding Anna Sui seems next to impossible in stores. I have to sat, for $20 it’s worth it. I’ve worn it countless numbers of days now. It’s one of the most forgiving pencil liners I have.
