Got The Pumpkin For Halloween
Sunday, October 24th, 2010 | 63 Comments
Went to the Pumpkin Patch to get this year’s pumpkin.
It’s the same orchard that I go to for summer flowers. They have multiple pumpkin patches and we go just about every year except last year since we were away that H’ween. We got there around 9:30am and had the whole place to ourselves basically until 10am. Then people started FLOODING in!

Usually we get two pumpkins, one each. But I don’t really feel
like doing two this year
We haven’t even put up the Halloween decorations yet!
running behind~~
I guess since we’ll be home I’ll need to buy some candy to pass out. The kids in my neighborhood are really… greedy
They come around multiple times most not even wearing costumes…

So I’m thinking of passing out HEALTHY SNACKS like pretzels! LOL :good:

These white ones were quite wart-filled

Later on we went for lunch.
We were going to actually go out for breakfast but we got Starbuck’s on the way to the farm (omg, that sounded pathetically “city” didn’t it
) so instead we did some grocery shopping after pumpkin picking.
So on the way home we stopped by this fantastic Italian Deli. They have amazing sandwiches and their deli items are phenomenal.
I’m serious this place tastes just like what my Italian-born grandfather cooks!!! :good: I picked up some eggplant parm, grilled veggies, and cucumber salad.

Sunday’s outfit~ Kinda hard to see the ruffles, black is so hard to take a snap of

Military Ruffle Dress: Yesstyle (from Zoo)
Faux Fur Coat: Forever 21
Ribbed Knit Leggings: Forever 21
Black Boots: Yesstyle (Holly Shoes)
This is a better look at the dress. It’s shorter than things I usually wear so I’ve been waiting until winter to wear it so I can pair it with black leggings.

In other news Rinka’s on the latest issue of PopSister!
I’m impatiently waiting for it to arrive~~~!!

It just felt so good to see her on the cover.
I personally feel like it says a lot about where they want to take the magazine. And also gives me a sense that this magazine really does fit into my current lifestyle (I guess you could say.) And as each issue comes out I’m seeing less and less of the styles I like in Popteen. It really does feel like they’re moving the majority or any sorta “street” looks to PopSister. Which makes sense, naturally!
I’m actually planning on ending my Popteen subscription soon. I just haven’t gotten around to it
plus I was thinking of replacing it, instead, with SCawaii.
But I’d also like to get a Used Mix magazine but I’d have to request that specially and it could be difficult.
Anyway… I should talk more about magazines but I’m going to go help Mike with dinner!

So my precious Japanese Bookstore is closing.
Found out yesterday they’ll be shutting their doors the end of this month. :F
Not sure if it’s financial or personal (I think it’s more personal on the owner’s part,) but knowing doesn’t really change things.
So my subscriptions will be refunded
or possibly transferred~
Because there’s a Japanese market next door called Maruichi that might take over the magazine subscriptions.
Neither store is REALLY
sure whether or not that will happen though.
Thank god I went to pick up PopSister Friday because an hour later the LA distributor of the magazines called me about it!
Asking if I was still interested in getting “Popteen” because they’ll send me an invoice and I can pick it up at Maruichi’s…
I’M SO CONFUSE.
LOL.
I’ll just go to the stores again next weekend and see if they have any further information on what’s gonna happen.
And I like how I fuckin’ jinx’d myself 2 entries ago blabbing on about other Japanese stores closing & praying mine never would or else I’d die…
WTF ME!
Sigh…
I don’t WANT to go back to buying magazines online~~~ like my college days.
It’s really depressing
…
so I’m not going to think about it anymore…………………..

So yea, I picked up PopSister AND Scawaii. Scawaii had that ballin’ giant ribbon hair tie
as the free gift!
Hell yes!!!!! I can’t wait to wear it! Maybe tomorrow for a red, white, and blue
thing or something

I got a lot done today too~!
Everything I wanted to do ALL WEEKEND actually! I laid out & tanned, got some take out food, walked a lot downtown, and so on~~
Saw a white squirrel while downtown too!
He lives near the Washington Monument… perhaps he’s attempting to blend into “his surroundings” hence the marble white fur!!

Some outfit snaps.

Sorry I haven’t been taking them as much because I leave my camera by my computer and am too lazy to walk across the house and get it while I’m dressing, ha!
But here are a few from yesterday & today.

Speaking of snaps, I wanted to post PopSister street snaps!
From last month’s & this month’s. :!: I like the street snap section because it gives you a good idea of how different “real life” girls are working the trends into their daily wardrobe.
The magazine spreads are great & all too of course!
But I’m interested in what catches the editor’s/stylist’s eye on the streets too.
