Target Run and Random Chat
Sunday, June 13th, 2010 | 69 Comments
Ahhhhhhh it’s already Sunday,
nuuuuuuuuuuuuuh
It’s raining
a lot more today than yesterday so I’ve given up for now and have retreated inside after going on a coffee & Target run earlier this morning.
I also beat Kirby 64 today!
WHOOT! Now I’m gonna start on re-beating Yoshi’s Story for the 10th time
Yesterday I made the mistake of of going shopping after hating everything in my closet.
It went something like this:
- Tried on about 10 outfits but wasn’t happy with any of them (for the 90 degree weather
) - Bummed out, I went to get some froyo and walk around
- It started raining
on us so I agreed walking around in the mall would be a superb idea!
- Walked into Zara “JUST TO LOOK” (fail idea again, lol)
- Of course walked out with Zara purchases in hand! FAIL $ SAVING, HAHAHA!

I should know better than to window shop after feeling like I hate everything in my closet! hahahahaa!
BUT. I do give myself some credit. :good: I tried on about 20 items and loved all of them but only bought 2 pieces! TWO PIECES THAT MAKE AN OUTFIT TOO!
So at least I stuck with my mantra of ONLY buying outfits :good:
The flip-flops are from Target’s $1.00 4th of July bin!
I got a pair for my friend too~ I always send her the July 4th Target goods!! Last year they had those “BORN IN THE USA” socks I sent her!
She wore them to work and said all her coworkers found them so cute & funny

Target run!
Sneaker socks and insoles for my cowboy boots. I really want to wear my boots more but they need insoles.
They have really solid soles and hurt to walk in after a few hours. I tend to buy insoles for all my shoes though, my feet are pussies I guess! Also I walk more than ever before. I love to just walk for hours~~
Also saw this “Blister Defense” stuff! Hummmmmm, I’m skeptical but I’m willing to try it! Gonna test it out tomorrow by wearing some really stiff plastic high heels I have that almost always cause me blisters, ha!
Then I bought the new Nivea Good-Bye Cellulite Serum. I was there to buy some more of my NIVEA My Silhouette! Firming Gel. I did a short review of it last year and still love it!
But it takes 4 weeks where as this serum claims results in 1 week. *_* OK, I said! LET’S TRY IT OUT!
It of course recommends using it with the counterpart Good-Bye Cellulite Gel but I’m going to stick with using the My Silhouette because I know I like it.
The serum doesn’t smell as lovely as the firming gel, it smells like hair gel IMO, so I’ll apply the serum at night (to my thigh’s saddlebags if you must know,
) and the My Silhouette in the mornings. I’ll let ya know if I think it ramps up the “firming” process
By the way, I don’t know WHY NIVEA still has the “NEW” label on the My Silhouette Gel…. marketing ploy?
Because it’s been out for more than a year. Just saying~~~~~~~~~~

Cher 15th Anniversary Box
Monday, March 1st, 2010 | 60 Comments
My friend sent me the Cher 15th ANNIVERSARY BOX!

It was surprising that they’ve done another bag with their catalog release. Last season they said the wouldn’t be including a bag anymore. Maybe the bad economy made them want to do another free bag in order to sell? Or maybe they were using the announcement before to sell out of THAT catalog? humm, hummm!

This box came with an eco bag made of denim with rope for handles. VERY spring meets summer I think. Capitalizing on both the denim and nautical trends. There is also a pouch in similar style. It’s faily large and I might use it as my new makeup bag! It also came with 2 catalogs. The latest Spring/Summer 2010 catalog and a special edition 15 years catalog that includes 2 pages from all their previous catalogs. I want to scan a few pages in of both. Their new S/S 2010 looks are soooooo nostalgic-vintage-casual! I forget how wonderful their warmer weather looks are sometimes~
And the 15th Anniversary catalog has Rinka in it from 2002! When she had that super short hair.

The bags needs to air out a little though. They smell like pool toys because of the plastic used for putting the logo onto the jean material. I described it as “pool lining” while Mike went for “inflatable killer whale pool toy” smell.
I have some photos from the weekend I figured I’d dump here too! I had such a great weekend! It was really hard getting back to work today to be honest. BTW I decided I’m wearing glitter eyemake all week! I usually avoid wearing glitter makeup to work because it’s sorta seen as childish. But I wore a lot of it on Sunday and fell back in love with all my glitter makeup. So screw it! I’m gonna wear glitter all week! I miss my glitter makeup!
Friday we had dinner out!
It was snowing pretty hard but the roads were still safe. There was even a 40 minute wait but Mike and I just waited, talked, and people watched! Food was delicious as always! It’s a dark restaurant so the pic is like scary lighting, LOL. Afterwards we got Starbucks and walked around the shops and cafes a bit! IN THE SNOW! Ah yeaaaaaaaaa!
For once I was wanting to enjoy winter just a little longer!

Saturday we went to H&M
Well the only H&M to get the Sonia Rykiel collection in DC to be more specific. It had The Blues collection in too. I tried on a ton of stuff! LOVED the ruffle dress except the cuts along the side of the ruffles. The cool jumper was not made for short torso’d people, LOL, so I walked away empty handed but that’s OK! Their Blues stuff was pretty great and crazy cheap though! $9 boyfriend jean shorts. I already had similar stuff at home.

Sunday Bing Soo!
Rolled out of bed really late. I had stayed up till 2am Saturday so I look ROUGH! I didn’t actually do my hair either, it’s just still hairsprayed from the day before, hahahaahaa!
I wanted to check out this cafe called Shilla that I saw on the DCist. To think this awesome cafe was nearby all this time!! It’s simply adorable and stocked to the rafters with amazing breads, snacks, and cakes! Not to mention Bing Soo and coffees! I wanted to try their yogurt bing soo~ It was really delicious! Still used the wonderful nonfat frozen yogurt so it was bitter, but it was drenched in syrups and mixed with various fruits (kiwi, strawberry, blueberry, honeydew melon, canteloupe, pineapple, passion fruit, mango,) Frosted Flake cereal, sweetened oats and grain cereal, and rice cake! Plus two pocky sticks out the side to add charm
IT WAS DELICIOUS!!

Mike got a coffee and only after I ordered the dessert he informed me that he’s “saving room for BBQ sandwiches.” Gaaaaaaaaaaah!!! I had to tackle the thing solo! I did a pretty decent job though! See~~~!!

Some more photos of the place. It was really quiet when we first got there, but around 1:00 people were REALLY piling in there! I’m lucky I could get these photos early on!

They had free samples of nearly everything they sold too! And it ALL tasted amazing!

The April cover of Popteen is GORGEOUS!!!!!!!
Maybe my favorite cover ever!
Then again I’m partial to April covers (my birthday’s in April, lol.) I don’t care if it is a wig, finally super short hair looking as feminine as possible! REFRESHING.

And funnily enough there is a circle lens spread in this issue!
I’ll scan that in when I get my hands on the issue! The PopSister insert looks cuuuuuuute! Western girly~ I wasn’t a big fan of last month’s PopSister insert. It was a little boring for my tastes. I need to get some short cowboy boots this spring~~ And looks like the insert has something to do with wigs too??!! Geez! Haahaa! There was a big wig section in last month’s SCawaii too~~!!

That’s it~ Probably good and long enough!
