Boring Rainy Weekend

Sunday, March 29th, 2009 | 31 Comments

Got these new headphones. Tried them out. The sound was much better than my old pair, but I could never get them to feel 100% comfortable. They sat on my head a lot differently than my current pair. I’m kind of sensitive to pressure (most headbands give me headaches) and these new headphones put too much pressure on this weird spot and it gave me day long headaches. So I returned them I need to get a pair more closely like my current (really big ear parts.) Till then my current ones stopped acting up and are working again, haha Mike still wants me to find some. I’d really like the BOSE because they fit like mine but I don’t want to pay 299$ for headphones

It’s been like 2 days of straight rain. It stopped for a bit this afternoon though which was nice.

I had a pretty crap shopping time this weekend. First at Macy’s this wretched mother who was letting her kids run around wild went off on me. The was in a dressing room stall and the lock (apparently) didn’t work and the kid opened up my door and just stood there staring at me getting dressed!! I didn’t even notice at first because I was turned around! I quickly slammed the door shut and the Mom went off on me for overacting… WTFFF keep your kids under control!! I told some sales people that the mom doesn’t care that her kids are opening up dressing room doors on people and I think they kicked her out. Then at Taget I went to the change room for 5 minutes (hum a pattern here) and I come back out to find the employees had put up everything in my cart! I had to go RE-SHOP for all my stuff again! *ARG*

I need to stop trying on clothes obviously

Oh man - I dig retro flight headphones! I tend to get ear-aches instead of headaches. ??

Aww I know how you feel - I have a short fuse with parents who have no control over their kids. I was in a thrift store and this kid stuck his little face UNDER the stall and screamed - UGH.

Wow, talking about bad shopping experiences.
LOL@Target employees putting your stuff away.

Wow, that mom sounds like a ruthles mother. It is obviously her child’s wrong doing for opening on the doors of people’s change room like that. Geez, I’d at least expect to have some kind of apology from her. It’s no wonder why kids have no manners these days.

However, I also don’t really understand girls who go shopping and feel the need to invite her bf/husband in the change room. I mean, if you want to ask your bf/husband’s opinion on something, just simply ask him to wait outside and ask for his opinion AFTER you’re changed! I used to work in retail and I can tell you, I know TONS of people who this! It annoys me even more how everytime a customer do it, I have to chase the guy down and ask him to come out from the change room because we strictly have a store policy that says, “ONE PERSON PER ROOM ONLY!!!” I think people should be more cautious that they are in a PUBLIC mall and not their own private home where they can do whatever they want. -_____-”

And that happened to me once. I tried on some stuff and left them hanging on the door at the top, and only to find out that the employee hung all my clothes back on the floor!

Man, my eyes are really tired today. I was glancing at the headphones and the green parts looked like apples for a second. Hmm…apple shaped headphones, that would be kinda cute.

And those mothers are mean and have no control over their kids.
Plus, that kid was a pervert ):

Sometimes it’s hard to tell if you should be mad at the parents or not. Some people just FLAT OUT do not take care of their kids, on the other hand others struggle with kids with autism :(

I have a really hard time finding headphones too… it’s too bad the green/yellow ones give you headaches cuz they are cute!

Ah, those headphones look really nice (I love green). Too bad they are not comfortable. I have a similar problem with headphones. If I wear them for too long, my ears star to heart badly. I don’t get headaches though. That’s why I use ear-buds instead of ear phones. Maybe you can try those instead?

I have run into crazy children at stores before, but never this bad. They usually just run around screaming and stuff. I honestly can’t understand the mom mentioned in your post. I would never have my children act that way. It’s just embarrassing…

Wow. Excuse my grammar. It’s late I suppose. I meant to say “start” instead of “star” and “hurt” instead of “heart” -__- Forgot to proof read…

i’ve always wanted to try those panasonic headphones, the cream ones were nice too

kids can be so awful :0 (i’d know since I was probably even worse =A= ) parents really need to keep an eye on them so they don’t cause other people trouble eeesh!

Aghh I hate it when head pressure does that! I can’t wear headbands for a whole day cuz they give me headaches so I have to keep taking them off then putting them on again after “fixing my hair”
And that stupid parents who can’t control their kids!! geez there’s heaps of them here also!! -__-

Wow! That’s horrible! But did you find anything good?
I was gonna browse around today.
I’ll tell you something really horrible; one day in women’s somebody DUMPED on the clothes in the fitting room. :/

SRSLY! D:

I hate kids ._.

I have a similar problem with headphones but for me it just hurts my ears haha too much pressure on them.

YEA!! i get headaches wearing my headbands too, and i was wondering if it’s just me, never really wear them now D:

those headphones are quite pretty with that lime green colour, too bad they’re not that comfortable..

kids are cute sometimes, until they go out of control D:

omg~~ I totally would have flipped out too!! I hope the store kicked her out~ people like that seriously should not be able to leave the house with their kids if they can’t control them :(

& that happened to a friend of mine at Target too, except she was using the restroom. You would think if there’s a shopping cart outside a restroom/dressing room, you would assume the person it belongs to is inside… annoying!

what is it with shop assistants these days? Why are they so bad at their jobs? Women with out-of-control kids in clothes shops DRIVE ME INSANE!!! Keep them under control or don’t take them into adult environments!!

$299 for headphones? Wow that’s an expensive pair! Big headphones can be pricey though can’t they?

GOOD LUCK in having a good shopping experience soon

I’m always paranoid of little kids crawling under the space between the divider and the floors in dressing rooms. People with kids need to learn how to discipline them!

I have the same problem with headbands and headphones that are too tight. They make the back of my ear hurt and give me a headache. I’ve found that the Scunci makes an awesome line of headbands that have this weird soft bendy part at the end, where they touch the back of your ear and it prevents it from putting too much pressure on your head. They’re GREAT.

I also have the same problem with headbands! My mom asked me if they hurt me like they did her… in a way that seemed very secretive, haha.

I hate when kids aren’t controlled in public. I know it can be hard, but parents should still be considerate of other people. And employees should know better!!! It’s a sign that you should just stop shopping in general.

but about those headphones, isnt there a way to set it so them dont put that much of pressure?

The only kind of headphones that I can use is in-ear headphones. Everything either doesn’t fit or hurts. I have the same issue with headbands too… I hope you’ll find another pair that fits!

Whoa, I’d say that’s one bad shopping day. It’s really annoying when little kids are running around the dressing rooms. Parents should really take control of their kids when they go out.

Awww, those headphones were cute too!!! I hope you can get a better pair that don’t hurt your ears. Matt has a pair of Bose, but not the noise cancelling ones because those bothered HIS ears!!! Ohhh headphones @_@;

Ugh, I hate PARENTS these days and how they let their kids do basically anything. I have to stop myself from using the TEACHER VOICE at random strangers outside the classroom~~

March 30, 2009 @ 10:18 pm

Ooohh.. I’m really sorry your headphones gave you headaches! I hate when that happens, which is why I, also, don’t wear most headbands. Maybe you could try some Skullcandy headphones? (http://www.skullcandy.com/)

Ugh. I hate when little kids have no discipline in a public area. It’s so disrespectful to everyone! >:(

I would also like those Bose headphones. I just use my step dad’s from the 1980s, though. The cord is like 6 feet long & I can hear everything going on around me but they don’t hurt my head! That’s important for me, too.

Man, I really hate parents like that. I feel like these days no one wants to be a parent to their kids. They’re like afraid of them or something. So, kids run wild and parent themselves -_-

I can’t believe that woman had the nerve to get mad at you for that! I don’t know, I think some fisticuffs would have gone down if it were me. I’m glad you got her kicked out! She’s obviously pretty tactless, jeezburger.

Chris and I went driving across town because the Best Buy near our house didn’t have the head phones I like. I’m really picky out my head phones now. I cannot use the ones they put inside your ears. Also that mother was an airhead. Does she want her kid to grow up to be pervert? I can’t stand parents who let their kids do whatever they want. That’s why they grow up stealing money from tip jars.

Hahahah @ the kid opening the door.

I had that happen once, only the room didn’t have a door. It just had a curtain and I was topless.

I’m always afraid of employees putting my stuff away if I walk away for a second too.
