Yesstyle Trend Items

Friday, November 6th, 2009 | 39 Comments

In my recent Yesstyle order I got these pair of boots. LOVE THEM! I was looking for some just like these all last winter with no luck! They’re studded, have oversized foot insert, and fringe! Plus they’re black & I’m in dire need of black boots. I’ve worn them out a bunch of times already.

Best of all they look sooo much like a pair spotted in PopSister! Jun’s wearing them in this shot

I thought I’d point out some other similar fashion gets I found on Yesstyle that you might see in PopSister, Popteen, Ranzuki, and other Japanese magazines. I know sometimes finding key fashion items isn’t easy outside of Japan. These aren’t necessary Japanese brands, but similar styles!

Vests!
Here are some vests from the November issue of Ranzuki!

Yesstyle Styles~

NamuDDalgi - Check Hooded Vest
Puffy - Hooded Vest

pinkdiamond - Fleece Lining Quilted Vest
Celli Girl - Padded Zip Vest

Varsity Cardigans!
Cardigans are a big key item this winter. Often subtle but quite necessary! A big theme are cardigans with armband stripes or Ivy League-type letters on the front! These are a few from October’s Popsister.

Yesstyle Styles~

Varsity Jackets!
Also known as baseball jackets or raglan sleeve jackets (lots of names.) Used for their instant Amekaji style look of course! Here are some examples from Popteen and Ranzuki.

I know, it’s about time! I’m kinda glad I waited too because the trend died out a bit so I’m not lost in a sea of fringe here in the States, LOL.

Niiiice! Ahh I can’t wait to get my YesStyle shoes

Okay, boring story about me //
Andy + I have a special connection to the Yale campus since we used to meet there before going to NYC.
One of my current projects is to find a giant A letter form (for Andy *squee*) on the and then find a Yale emblem for the pockets!

I love the varsity cardigans, they’re especially good when you need to pull together a quick look.
Also have you tried wii yoga? It’s fun but a bit hard if you’re not flexible (like me haha )

jenny said
November 7, 2009 @ 9:33 pm

There’s yoga on Wii Fit but outside of that, no. I have awful balance. If I ace Wii Fit’s maybe I’ll grab the separate yoga game!

Over $150 shipping is free, under it’s $9.99 for the US and $14.00 ~$16.00 non-US. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the links~ I’m glad to know that yesstyle has many similar pieces to the magazines I read, makes it a lot easier for me to mimc some of the styles in them!

I LOVE THOSE BOOTS! How do they fit? I heard some types of shoes from Asian companies runs small.. D:

I have one of those puffy vests with a hood. I never wore it out though. These pictures gave me inspiration on ways to work it though!

Some types of US shoes run small~ it all depends on the shoes & brand.

EVERYTHING LOVELY~

Do the shoes fit correctly from yestyle?

I bought my partner a shirt from yestyle, and it didn’t fit him it was to small :( we even bought a large just to be safe (he is really a medium though). I think it would be considered a small in western countries.

So is it the same with the shoes and other things on yestyle?

November 8, 2009 @ 3:27 pm

Well it depends on the store you order from on Yesstyle (yesstyle is really just a proxy service, not a brand.) I didn’t have any issue with either pair of boots I ordered. One pair was in Korean sizes while the other were in European. Both fit me great. For clothing, I only order if they list exact measurements to prevent anything from fitting too tight or loose.

Those are some great YS picks, Jenny! I think for the most part, outside of niche styles (lolita) most jmag looks can be replicated with stuff found elsewhere.

Hhaha, I’m kinda bummed out that we’re lurching into Summer - as opposed to winter! All the season’s picks have swung towards winter styles! D: Nyyyooooo!
