CANMAKE Makeup

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010 | 45 Comments

I saw that YesStyle has a few new CANMAKE products for sale recently! One I would be interested in trying is the shading powder. They have the “01 Danish Brown” version for sale.

I have a pair of CANMAKE eyelashes I finally tried out this week too~ A lovely gift from Rene! They’re pretty nice lashes. I have the Volume length version. They’re a little plastic-y, thus sorta poke-y, but still good. :good:

This little biscuit/cookie cell charm is from Sara Mari!

YesStyle has the Gorgeous Volume & Center Volume versions.

I also saw this really cool denim shirt on the Ten Ten Shop. It’s hooded and the model make it look utterly adorable!! It’s like a denim shirt meets windbreaker This shop sells via YesStyle but their original site is here in case you’re looking for inspiration!

Oh!! Thank you for posting about the “Center Volume” ones! *I love that shape

Ten Ten rocks - lately I’m super into Korean street fashion - light parkas ftw haha

Is it weird the Canmake beige eye powers look like tiny chocolate bars?? Am I hungry??

Cute picture!

I don’t think the chocolate look is by any means an accident

That model is in need of some Canmake shading powder… that is a completely 2D face.

I love how the tentenshop covers the model’s mouth in one photo - like she was less than perfect for one second!

I’ve been enjoying your recent eyelashes posts! (I have to get the hang of putting them on~)

Oh I love canmake! At first, I was unsure when I tried their products (their highlighter doesn`t stay one for long amounts of time) but then I tried some of their other goods like blush and it lasts and lasts and last–and everything is so cheap! I can definitely say I am a recent canmake convert!!

Glad to see you use it too. Now I am going to have to go buy that brown shade–looks like yummy chocolate and I bet it is as good on too.

I`ll be linking this post in my upcoming weekly wrapup! I just love your blog–everything is so cute, including your posts!!

Thanks so much!

Yea I feel their lashes are a bit cheaper feeling than I expected but it could just be the particular type I have, dunno~ but I do love their cream blushes!

You look great with the lashes, well you just look great! The lashes seem cute, and I especially like the center volume ones. They look unique!

That is an interesting take on the denim shirt, with a hood. I still need to buy a denim shirt, I don’t want to be without one of the season’s biggest trends haha^^

I want to try the Canmake highlighters and shading powder as well, but I’m afraid the powder will be too dark for me. I remember reading a review somewhere that said you have to put it on very lightly because it shows up a lot, but I’m not sure myself.

jenny said
April 29, 2010 @ 3:18 pm

Ah yea, just like a dark bronzer tread lightly or you gotta re-do your make x_x

You’ll have to post a picture if you get that shading powder! I’ve never been able to work bronzers or anything like that; I always seem to look like the tango man :( me= epic makeup fail!

The lashes look nice!

The shading thing seems like it could work for pictures, but I’m doubtful about using it for everyday make-up. Let us know if it works for you.

Hmm, that shading powder just looks like a matte bronzer. But I love bronzer, so I might try it out too! It’s so much fun to see how you can subtly enhance different areas of your face with bronzer. I was showing my roommate how I wear bronzer (sides of the nose, hollows of the cheeks, jaw line, and hair line) the other day and she was amazed at how she looked after, haha.

jenny said
April 29, 2010 @ 3:17 pm

Yea I’m pretty sure that’s all it is. I have a dark bronzer I’m using for shading atm~

Just wondering… how long did it take you to learn how to put in false eyelashes? For the life of me, I can’t do it on my right eye… it takes freaking forever!!

Hehe. Sorry i didn’t know its plastic-y. I don’t own one. But the volume one at the center looks cute! Lets each get one! =)

I miss blogging!

Oh no worries they’re not THAT plasticy, just slightly more than I expected! I’m still holding onto them for a few more wears until they wear out D Dramatic ones are thick so they’re more easily plastic-ish~ *using non-words here LOL*

I miss you blogging too D:

I remember commenting on this maybe it did not go through. Anyway, I’m glad yesstyle is finally incorporate some korean brands from popular websites. Those canmakes are cute too, kinda remind me of the no names i bought, they make great accent lashes. I wonder if you could essentially make your own accent lashes with crystals and such, maybe a weekend DIY, we’ll see..

I’m really curious about shading powders, but these look so dark! Especially since I’m very fair skinned. Ill definitely be checking out the tutorial link though in hopes of insight. Heh Packageing is super cute though!

I love the lashes, they look lovely on you. I recently ordered some similar to these, looking forward to seeing how they look.

Pringles shirt FTW!
